<lj:music>Depeche Mode - Waiting for the Night</lj:music>

Waiting for a beginning?
I am not sure. But truly this is the first time in 4 consecutive Lost Seasons I am pretty much negative on watching the rest of the show. Probably will though just for closure.
I said in some previous post that the demise of a certain character would mean me stop watching the show for good.
Well it has happened, and I feel quite sad...
Plus I don't know whether I care for the answers to the new questions.
I mean it has been quite a few episodes and I haven't updated here at all.
The show has left me with much less to wonder and the answers I got, well didn't really impress me now I got them. They just seem something like a way too easy and matter of fact case.
I won't elaborate, since I will go into some Lost theory and discussion reading soon.
Will see you around maybe just for closure...

R.I.P.
Well this just came as a breakthrough to me.
I rewatched Season 3 recently (why didn't I like it in the first place? It's amazing...)
Apart from the quite a few details I noticed to understand a few things better, I just thought...
What if Rousseau, is actually a DHARMA initiative member who survived Ben's purge?!
I remembered her talking about the disease and how it killed so many, what if this is how many people died? I can't think of how she survived besides having a mask herself, but who knows?
I read at some place a theory that Ben is actually Alex's father. What if Ben and Rousseau are Alex's physical parents?!

Another idea that I just had! Since it is on more recent and hot stuff I'm lj cutting it for safety...

I think more or less everybody is expecting Michael to be in the coffin in Jack's flash forward.
Since I heard somewhere the fact with the name reported in the paper "Jo[.. ..]antham" I believe its the name Michael assumed when he returned to Manhattan and his mother told him she cannot call him and Walt by their names. We do know the ID of Kevin Johnson is assumed for his under cover job on the freighter, we know his real name, so probably he returns "home" under his newly acquired name, when he first left the island.

Topic open for discussion, c u !

Was anyone else bugged by the fact Claire appeared distressed about Charlie only in the episode she learns he died?
I found her overly happy even though knowing this and honestly I think it is a major mistake in either acting or general character concept or directing :s

And hold on a few weeks till lost comes back up -.-
I was a bit late reviewing this episode even if I have watched it a week now.
With this time I took in writing this review, I spent some time reading other theories and elaborating a bit on my own.
As usual an lj cut and I'll cut to the chase :)

Well after a very very long while, practically 1 and a half season we see Michael again and his story is all about to unfold.
A lot of old questions were answered. Yes Michael did make it back home, as we see in his flashbacks, and since he admitted his murders to Walt, he became estranged with his son.
Now Michael is trapped in something like a Groundhog day thing, he cannot kill himself which he tried a couple of times unless he makes some work for the 'Island'.
First debatable theory is here...
Many believe that the island somehow won't let Michael die, and well yes I could agree that somehow some odds are heavily influenced, especially Michael surviving a car crash. Though I am a bit skeptical about it, since its something that can happen to actually survive a fatal car accident. Obviously no one can dodge bullets aimed right at ones head right? Now here's one theory I read and I may believe this one. What if the gun Michael used was actually a gun Mr. Friendly gave him, a gun that was somehow jammed or something making him believe that the island was not letting him die?
Although it is a bit stretched, since the Others managed to make people believe different things than what really was going on, I could believe that this would be some nice set up. This theory would stand to a lot more reason, if Michael's attempt with the car was positively before his attempt with a gun. I cannot know that and there's even some theories that this part might have been a flashforward after Michael went to the boat. I disagree on that based on the fact that usually flashforwards are revealed at some point in the episode...
Enough on that. With these scenes anyway we find out that Michael is "employed" by the 'Others' to board the Kahana, (confirmed as Widmore's boat) in order to kill everyone on it. (We also confirm now that Abaddon is working for Widmore)
When Michael, with his new ID 'Kevin Johnson' boards the ship we meet Minkowsky, Naomi, Frank, the captain, and Miles.
Another debatable point, Miles' ability to tell Michael was lying.
I've read theories where people believe that Miles can detect lies through special powers, others say he just guessed from observation, and I am leaning towards the latter myself. I think that generally, due to his rather dodgy work he has managed to figure out people a lot faster in order to play out a few 'cons' when needed.
Or his actual power is some kind of general spiritual reading power, which applies to dead or alive maybe by aura detection or lingering spirit and life near a deceased body or its personal belongings. Whatever I still incline he was observing behaviours of the people boarding the ship so he could file his case, whatever it is.
Through Michael's view of the freighter crew we can see that the Freighties indeed are with bad intentions generally planning to kill a bunch of people they find on the island. They are indeed heading out to look for the truth behind Oceanic 815, they are looking for Ben and they are prepared to remove whoever will be a problem. On some discussions considering the Freighties behaviour I read somewhere and I agree that indeed the "mercenaries" sent there seem like a bunch of ruthless killers, with the only exception of the specialty team, aka Naomi, Charlotte, Dan, Frank and Miles, whose task is to neutralize any dangers, from gas stations, check out the case on possible 815 survivors and see what Ben's team is like before taking the whole island out.
Back to the storyline. Michael tries indeed to use the bomb he is equipped with to take the freighter out, it proves the bomb is a fake and its all a test for Michael. So when finally Ben contacts him and Michael confronts him about this, Ben declares that he wanted to show him his difference with the Freighties. Good show I'll say!
Michael gets his new orders, since he decided to ditch his telephone when he boarded, and he gets a list of all people on the boat plus ruins the communication and engines.
To cut a long story short this whole story is told to Sayid and Desmond, who Sayid decides after this whole thing to turn him to the Captain. So here we come to two more debatable points.
1) Does the captain know beforehand Michael is a traitor? (since many considered he was not surprised to hear Sayid)
2) Does Sayid's move to reveal Michael to the captain happen because of his own plan or an agreed plan he has? with Locke or Ben already even?

For point 1, since I have to admit I cannot tell yet whether the captain was surprised or not, since I do believe the whole moment was rather short to make out any decisions on that I am a bit skeptical. The only thing that can support such a theory is the fact that Sayid already doesn't trust the captain much due to his straightforwardness to tell them so many things considering Widmore, Oceanic, Ben and so forth.
On point 2 although my first guess was that Sayid acted much on impulse there and then selling out Michael in order to gain the captain's trust, I now would consider it possible thatthere were extra motives in this move. Although some people have the thory that Sayid is already working with Ben, I am to disagree a bit and believe that this will indeed happen when the Oceanic 6 leave the island.
On to that I am writing here a small theory on what I think is to happen when the Oceanic 6 leave. I have been speculating this course of action a while. These 6 that will be returned home will leave under rather rushed conditions. At some point all hell will break loose and most losties will have to make an agreement upon leaving the island a) to maintain secrecy about it and its inhabitants, b) to reveal a fake story of the actual events of the flight crash, probably on the cost of some survivor's lives.
Many questions reside on the Oceanic 6 story and among them are
1. Who are the two people who survived the crash but do not make it back to the world as reported.
2. Under what conditions and who actually sets these conditions the 6 leave? I am inclined to believe here that it is Ben who does make this decision, mainly because Sayid is working for him and is sent to eliminate his enemies (most probably members of the Widmore company, considering the clue with the bracelets all of them are wearing and Naomi is wearing as well.)
3. Is Aaron declared as Kate's physical baby? I strongly incline to say yes here since the questions that would arise from that are huge.
4. Since Kate is declared as the Oceanic 815 hero, in order to help her in her case, why was Jack called twice a hero in the 'Looking Glass' Episode? Or just surviving the crash was enough?
5. Do any people on the island return home anonymously, not as part of the Oceanic 6? I always expected Juliette and Desmond would manage somehow :s

Well I have to close this review soon since I have elaborated too long and hardly anyone reads this anyway -.-
To close the episode Ben now an equal member of the Locke team reveals to them that the Freighties have orders to kill everyone else once they have him, something Miles doesn't deny and he asks Rousseau to escort Karl and Alex to a safer place, 'The Temple' where the rest of the others are hid.
As far as to who shot Karl and Rousseau, I pretty much believe it is the Others and not Freighties, since their targets were Karl and Rousseau.
If it were the Freighties I believe Rousseau would have been enough. Obviously whoever it was did not want Alex dead, since her whole move "I am Ben;s daughter" was not the reason she was not shot. Whoever targeted them knew who he was after. Most probably when they arrived near the guarded perimeter of the Temple, the hidden scouts there took out the traitor Karl and Rousseau who would be a menace and will capture Alex. Theories say Rousseau will live. I believe so too...

Well that's it for now... All in all a good episode... Good go waiting for lost!

Oceanic 5/6! A review of episode 7

Yet another member of the Oceanic 6 is revealed in this episode with lots of surprises or expected things to come.

The Oceanic 5 up to now are, Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and Sun...
Before the episode was over I was about to say we had the Oceanic 6 covered with Jin being the 6th, but a wonderful revelation by the end, proved a) that Jin is no longer with Sun, yet is working for her father (who probably will start taking a more active role on the storyline) and b) that Jin is declared dead on the 22/9/2004 (the day 815 crashed), which brings up the question at what point these two got separated, yet Jin left the island? (I wonder who his new wife is as well...)

Otherwise, it is almost 95% (unless a new revelation comes up) proved that Michael (you remember him?), who is on the boat, is Ben's spy under the name Kevin Johnson.
Michael looked rather sick, I suppose he has lost Walt at some point again, or he is actually sick.
I wonder though if it is him in the funeral Jack attended in the "Looking Glass" episode.

As a speculation I am considering that besides the Oceanic 6, quite a few left the island hidden, serving under other powers, like the Widmores, Mr. Paik, or Ben even.
Point is that a lot of revelations are coming up and we still need to piece all these together.
All in all a very nice episode!

Episode 6: The other woman

I almost thought my predictions would come true on who the Oceanic 6 are. Not yet...

A Juliette episode, only with flashbacks instead of flashforwards. For a moment there I was thinking she is treated as a celebrity because she returned claiming ti be on Oceanic 815, but no we start finding out about her arrival on the island. Her relationship with Goodwin and his bitchy wife Harper, also her therapist.
Major things that were revealed on this episode,
Widmore is probably who commissioned the boat that is waiting near the island. I'm saying probably, since it is Ben's word, and the video he showed Locke is just a video of Widmore beating up someone. It only proves Widmore is a bastard, but that's all...
Out of this whole story though Ben managed to get his freedom to control the Locke team, but let's just say I had no doubt he would.
He revealed who his spy on the boat is, still though we don't know. Most fan speculations point to Michael, and I am inclined to believe I'll hear from this one again.
Now the main event, Faraday and Charlotte stabilize and deactivate the gas releasing mechanism, admirable though yes, but if Widmore is indeed commissioning the boat and sent the team, this has happened so that Widmore can make it a safe facility for his new commercial healing/spa island...
Thinking of Charlie's last words though, this indeed is not Penny's boat, close enough though eh?
Oh and Claire finally shows some signs of logic, that all Charlie said was whose boat this isn't...
Speaking of Claire I have to admit I am a bit pissed Claire really doesn't give a damn about the fact that Charlie died. Not much of a plot element but it either shows lack of realism on the show, or makes Claire's character quite a bitch.
Anyway on to the next episode... See you next week!

The 2 part review of what's happening will be delayed in order to post a review for the fresh episode. Without further ado...

This is a Desmond Episode, and finally I missed his Irish accent!
We finally learn a few things on Faraday's case. Maybe with all his time traveling experiments he is sort of in trouble on where he is at the moment, explaining a bit his memory losses.
Now why Desmond Hume, is his constant... This I would like to know, maybe he is so important to him because through him he managed to achieve time travel? Probably.
We find out that the island is in some what of a time warp, not a major one, mind I suppose only by a few hours behind or something. Probably due to the heavy e/m field.
Obviously this is how Faraday is destined to get to the island.
I have to say I like his character, even though he may not seem as popular as others.
Hopefully for those new characters introduced,I do wish I will see Miles properly dying, I mean last time I saw him he had a grenade ready to go off stuck in his mouth, chances are pretty good for him :p
Of course, given its a series on tv and that happened at the end of the episode, he also has a very high chance of surviving it -.-
Anyway back to the episode.
Desmond manages to get in contact with Penny, who is been looking for him for the past 3 years, which means the Widmore cavalry will be on its way. Also Penny reveals she has spoken to Charlie.
My speculations on who the Oceanic six will be are coming off quite true.
Since we already knew of Jack, Kate, Sayid and Hurley, I was predicting Desmond and Juliet.
Desmond I consider him already confirmed, since the pilot (that Aussie guy, forgot his name) introduced Sayid and Des as survivors of 815.
A bit on the boat. I cannot tell much yet, obviously the person helping the losties and sabotaging the communication equipment is possibly the same, and in fact is Ben's spy.
That doctor had a very sick thing about him, I'm curious to learn more of him.
We also saw for once and a last time George Minkowski... He has been strapped as mad, yet by the team that arrived on the island he was considered an important contact. Miles wanted to talk to him badly. It is a good chance that the hierarchy on the boat has shifted once the team landed.
Finally an interesting Detail, Mr Widmore wins in an auction the log book containing information about the fate of the ship the 'Black Rock" which was lost in sea, and found on the island.

Anyway generally this was a great, refreshing and mad episode with flashbacks just like old times :)

This post is to gather all the information up to now. It is going to be a two part post, so stay tuned !
I am gathering all we have learned from the first 4 episodes of Season 4 of Lost, which are quite a few things, but none of the things I'd really like to hear ><

Since I'd consider them spoilers, I will put all under a nice lj cut :)

Well, who did leave the island?
We know that the claimed survivors of Oceanic 815 are 6, and confirmed are Jack, Kate, Sayid and Hurley.
Also the story as was claimed to the media, is that only 8 survived the crash and stayed on the island under the ministrations and care, of Kate xD
(I wonder who the two claimed dead are)
Now each of them has his fate, and as it seems out of these 4 only Kate has some "peaceful resolution". Her legal affairs are resolved with her on probation and she stays put raising her son, Eric (as in...? was it that childhood friend of Kate's? The one who got killed when she ran away from the hospital?)
Now Hurley is in a mental institution, Sayid is employed by Ben to kill, and Jack well he is freaking out little by little.
Little connections on these future guys. Ben is targeting people wearing that bracelet Naomi was wearing, some company, we do not know anything of yet, and Sayid has to do that to protect his friends. Question is which friends? So who is back on the island who is under Ben's mercy? And anyway is Ben working for anyone or is he THE superpower?
Then we have this small detail, that black guy who visits Hurley who also happens to be Naomi's employer. He is obviously in the enemy base from Ben. Who he is and who he's working for? We still need to know!
And let's not be forgetting Jack's flash forward from the "looking glass" whose was that funeral?

So much for all fast forward flashes, soon will update the current situation in the next part of this post xD
See ya all! :D

Hello again!
Episode 4 was a bit more of a settling episode, at least I am not throbbing with more questions, though there are no real big revelations coming up :/

The episode is more Kate centered, with a bit of Locke, means its pretty good. We get to learn the resolution of Kate's law problems when she returns to the world. The Kate Sawyer relationship also comes to its end. I suppose that to his dying days Sawyer will never learn Kate is actually pregnant.
Locke on the other hand is slowly losing control, and Ben is taking over this situation.
We need to know more about Ben. He is a pure bastard yes we know that, he is very cool, we know that too, but I really want to know what his actual power is, where does he have his backup?
The boat people came all the way to the island just for him, Miles is trying to blackmail him to get loads of money... how in the world? :s
Other things that were casually dropped as bombs to my eager ears. Sayid and the helicopter have probably not made it to the boat, which leaves the question as to what happens to them, I can assume Sayid is taking over that helicopter to means of his own? Or the boat people have bought him and use him for their own ends, therefore lying to the Jack team? Looking forward to hear from this team.
Otherwise as small details, Sun wants to raise her child in Seoul, which probably should be warming me up for a Jin - Sun episode, that I definitely don't look forward to.
Faraday, the physicist from the boat has a lousy memory?
That much for now, the new season goes well, and I'll be around watching :)

Just watched the third episode in Season 4. Not bad, but just as episode 2, it brings more questions than answers... :s
For all's convenience, all under lj cut

Now we more or less know that out of the 6 people that left the island are Kate, Jack, Hurley and Sayid.
It is a possibility though that Ben returned as a survivor of Oceanic 815, but nothing can be really known about this guy. So Ben has recruited Sayid to kill for him... People in a list unknown... Maybe important figures of Oceanic? The Widmore company? Someone completely different?
Point is now that leaving the island gets really close double crossings start bad. With the one most prominent Sayid selling out Kate and Miles to Locke.
Anyway since it is 2 am now and snowing outside, plus I'm not feeling all that well I'll continue with more posts by tomorrow...

Just watched it and I have to say I have more questions than answers... again...
I really wonder whether by the end of planned seasons we will know what the hell happened in this show...
I really hope as well because then the show would not be pointless!

This episode was not bad but was not good either, read on a few comments under ljcut ^^

Important things to learn? a bunch of new characters introduced, the team that comes over to "pick them up" is actually a 5 man team (including the dead Naomi) which comes over to the island to get Ben...
3/4 are with the Jack/ Kate team, among them the pilot who should have flown Oceanic 815, but didn't, some spooky I talk to spooks Asian guy, Miles, and a physicist (bad enough eh? :p)
The 4th member, a British chick, is caught by the Locke/Ben team and Ben shoots her, to no avail though since she is wearing a bulletproof vest, and we have a lovely revelation that Ben is aware of this team and its exact details who come over to pick them up. I'll elaborate on Ben's case later on.
All the interesting things about each character.
From the other pilot (which I didn't catch his name first watch and will call him the Aussie for a while) we learn that the broadcasted reportages from the Oceanic 815 crash were all covered up completely, not even the pilot is the one who should be.
From Ghost-buster Miles, we have a small flashback of Eco (did you see him in the photos? ^^) and am kind of perplexed about his case of speaking with ghosts or spirits or something, especially if the spirits lead him to drugs...?
From the Brit girl, who is an archaeologist and rather rich, we get to see a finding of a polar bear skeleton in a desert, which has a collar with a Dharma sign with a scorpion, pretty peculiar, since I have no idea when is that, where and what the hell...?!
Since she is the one caught by the Locke/Ben team we also find out from Ben about him knowing all the details about the team. What I need right now is a proper time plan. How long is Ben dragged around the island? How long is it he is away from any communication? Is it a few days? probably, how long does he know of that team coming over... and well how?

More interesting revelations. Locke reveals what Walt told him when he was shot.

The black guy ordering the team is the same guy who imaginary "visits" Hurley in the mental institution, claiming to be an Oceanic representative.

Generally the whole episode got me having too many questions and no single answer! what the hell ><

Will be back when I rewatch this, it is required!

Hello all!!
I just watched the premiere episode for Season 4, so here I am at 2 o' clock in the morning on a Saturday night to write a review! Yes you can imagine it was a good episode!
Apparently some of my speculations are coming true! Glad to see this is the case, but before I say anything else I'm putting everything under an lj-cut!

First things first we now see Hurley did make it to the "real world" and we also learn that the survivors of Oceanic 815 that were rescued were 6 and were all treated as some kind of celebrities, which was an original speculation by the end of the "looking glass" episode. We also learn that Hurley's having quite a few issues regarding leaving the island, he does want to be back and he clearly tells Jack by the end of the episode that "It wants them to get back..."
Now on the Losties before they leave the island we see that there's a division among the group, and the division is in those who after learning of Charlie's death message "not Penny's Boat" decide not to leave the island and follow Locke, and those who are with Jack who insists on leaving.
Remarkable is that among those that choose not to leave is Hurley, which I guess we very soon will find out how he was actually sent back to the "real world" and of course the fact that Sawyer officially dumps Kate and joins the Locke team.
Another new and interesting fact, Hurley runs "accidentally" to Jacob's hut, where we get another glimpse of him, and surprise! Locke's in there as well and scares the hell out of Hurley. In this whole series of events Hurley manages to use his will and make the hut not exist... that's an interesting fact, as well as the fact that he tries to run away from it and falls right on it!
So speculations begin here, is the island and the hut and Jacob and everything something completely make believe?
I think that the end of the whole show will be a concept of reality vs faith.
We already have our leaders man of science, Jack vs, Man of Faith, John heading for a countdown.
Obviously in the future time Locke is in the island, I will also assume Sawyer will manage to stay as well as Ben and Desmond.

Well all in all it was a very strong kickstart for Season 4, I am already thirsting to hear more of this story and will love sitting here writing reviews and speculations on the episodes!

Have fun all! See you around! Lost is really back! xD

More questions pop up... Here's some, let's hear your ideas!!

1) Jack actually ends up as we see him in the future? Why is he so disappointed?
Apparently the answer to that is that the rescue didn't go as planned, and probably it went as Ben had in mind...
Naomi's ship, probably came trying to take over the island. The newcomers possibly shoved the losties on helicopters and out of their way as they started taking control of the whole place.
So the new opposition will be a Ben, Locke, Rousseau team? Not to mention Richard, Karl and Alex... oh and Desmond!! I bet he will stay on the island!
Jack possibly gets some credit for rescuing flight 815, but I believe not by any of the losties. When they see what happens they possibly may start blaming him?
2) Locke leaves the scene, where does he go?
Into hiding? He knows he failed to stop Jack leaving this time, so he may be informed by the higher powers of the island (be that Jacob Walt or even Eco who knows) on what to do next? I don't know this answer... I suppose Season 4 does...
3) Where does Juliet end up?
Not with Jack apparently...
4) Did Mikhail survive the grenade?
Honestly he may have...!!!!!!
5) Do Bernard and Rose actually want to leave the island?
I thought we had it all decided that they intended to stay since this was where Rose was healthy again...

Well its all open for discussion... Shoot as I'll be adding more questions and thoughts...

Well just watched the season's double final episode and here's all my thoughts over the series...

I swore I would stop watching the series in case John Locke was officially dead. Deus ex Machina though saved him somehow (apparently Walt is some higher force of the island).
Point is the end of the double episode leaves you wondering what is actually going on on the island.
The body count is as follows though...
Charlie, and most of the others are out of the story. I doubt whether Ben will actually be killed.
Obviously Kate, Sawyer, Jack, Jin and Sun are out of the island.
There's some people who will obviously be on the island on the next season, Locke for a start and Rousseau are confirmed.
God how could a finale leave me with more questions to start with.
There will be more discussions going on the whole series till the next season starts...
I'll share a few once I have them crystallized in my head.
Hope you enjoyed the finale as much as I did!

As far as I am concerned, I am probably going to stop watching the show then, unless a very dramatic thing happens, concerning... well something I think I can't spoil anything yet.
As I watched the recent episode, I am sort of disappointed that the climax of the series 3 seasons after will be a losties - others showdown. I was more concerned about more answers, and if everybody ends up dead I doubt whether I'll find out anything.
Could be that it will be proven that all of the losties were actually dead in the first place... But given that the series is signed for a few more seasons I find it hard to believe. Unless they have a fresh flight ready to crash :p
Whatever will be, next wednesday (probably Friday for me), we will know!

Lost without Locke...

is just not right.
I just watched 'The Brig' and well if the series tends to tire me, this episode just got me back into some good old lost hype!
I love Locke's character. He was always by far my favourite one, but it just is that whenever he's on an episode you know somethings big going to happen. He is the character that will move the series forward.
I'm not going to write a review for the episode, I 'm just going to set up a few answers, well, that we were more or less prepared for. Ljed of course for all's convenience :)

Well, obviously Anthony Cooper, was The real Sawyer. We had that coming, suspected it ever since he popped on the island. (Of course even if he is or isn't now, it doesn't matter, for as far as Sawyer is concerned, it was him. what I am saying is, that easily the 'Others' could have had him conned to think that's him, in order to kill him for Locke.)
Which of course answers to an earlier question as to what plans did the others have for Sawyer in the first place. I assume they had Cooper ever since they captured Jack, Kate and Sawyer, so besides using him to persuade Kate to put pressure on Jack, they had clearly stated that they had some other plan in mind for him.
I can only assume that that was it.
Now Locke working on his 'own' sort of, I wonder when he got to steal the radio, possibly he did infiltrate Ben's tent at some point. But I am still a bit curious. I always considered that Locke wouldn't care less to stop the others from their plans as long as he got his meaning and purpose on the island, so the only reason I see him in giving Juliette up was either to pay Ben back for making him kill Cooper, or well reward the camp somehow for destroying the sub.
Which is another question, since I've read some theories that the sub is not actually destroyed.

Anyway point is that now we are about to get some proper treat on the ongoing episodes. Locke's finally going to learn a few things about the island, and we still have the pending story of that girl who appeared looking for Desmond, and of course, the radio ^^

See you in the next episodes :)

P.S. Long time no post eh? :p

I haven't posted here a while since I was behind a bit on Lost and wanted to avoid seeing any sort of spoilers from future episodes.
Right now I am right up to ep 13 and couldn't have been happier.
I've been expecting to see Locke from the beginning of this season. Lost without Locke is just not the same!
The last three episodes Par Avion, Enter 77 and the Man from Talahasse, must be my favourite 3 episodes along with Flashes before your Eyes and Hurley's episode!

My thoughts will be placed under an lj cut just in case it spoils anything for anyone...

Finally... Ben and Locke in conflict.
Finally the Losties made it to otherville... Jack is about to make it off the island and Locke takes it away from him! Once more Locke ruined Jack's decisions. oh and Claire is Jack's sister!! lol I've been dying to say this!
Anyway... we are faced with something extraordinary here. Locke's father appears on the island. Some people discuss he may be the real Sawyer. Could be. Who knows?
My pressing question is why and how he is here. Did the Others bring him for Locke? Did he come here by fate and the others kept him for Locke?
And my most pressing question is... What does Ben want John to do?
He told him in a previous episode that they had come to the Losties camp for him.
Now they have him. And Ben's promising him answers, even... recruitment to the 'project'...
I wonder now if Anthony Cooper (Locke's dad) is the real Sawyer, if the 'Others' intended to show him to James (aka our Sawyer). Or maybe they didn't have him back then? or they didn't know?
Finally! the last 3 episodes have me burning for the next one. That's what this is all about :D

I at last watched ep8. Very interesting, finally giving as a clue to bang our heads over Desmond's story...
I've heard theories and stories that desmond may have traveled in time, may be reliving he time in the island now, may have acquired new powers and whatnot.
My opinion is that what eventually happened is that when the hatch imploded, just as Desmond said he saw his life flashing before his eyes, only he kept his memories of his life on the island and started, either making connections or reinventing things.
In the podcast it was hinted that Desmond actually traveled in time and may have even changed things in it that may have an outcome now... Beats me, maybe that will finally explain how come Pen has some people in an arctic station looking for magnetic anomalies, whether that has something to do with Desmond or she is just tying to do something for her dad.
Finally in the end of the episode, Desmond tells Charlie that all his flashbacks consisted of Charlie dying and he (Des) kept trying to change the course of this, but he won't be able to be doing this forever, due to the course-correcting nature of... well fate (sounds a lot over the edge if you ask me). What will eventually happen. Who knows. Charlie may or may not die. Desmond may or may not die trying to save him. Ugh I am starting to get frustrated not knowing what will eventually happen. Anyway on waiting to get Ep9. Love to hear any comments on this episode.
